The Policy working group cultivates the "in-between space", a mutually beneficial working relationship between grassroots community leaders and policymakers, based upon two-way communication and collaboration.

Collaborative Events Group

The Collaborative Events working group coordinates interactive and eductional event series in which partners collaborate to share diverse perspectives on topics in sustainability. Currently, the group is in the midst of Nourish (comm)Unity, a four-part series exploring various ways in which Chicago communities employ sustainability to enhance community, culture, and connections.

Nourish (comm)Unity:

  • April 28th, 2018 – Eco-Justice: An Expansive View at Clarendon Park in Uptown
  • August 4th, 2018 – Intergenerational Connectivity at Haramee Garden in Austin
  • October 13th, 2018 – Community Biking across south Chicago
  • November 10th, 2018 – Civic Technology at Windsor Park Church in South Shore
